Four creators will withdraw their projects from the Nvidia GeForce Now library. The cloud service will not have access to Warner Bros, Microsoft Xbox Game Studios, Klei Entertainment.
There’s no exact list of games that won’t be on the server. But it appears to be:
Cuphead, Minecraft, Hitman, Mortal Kombat, LEGO and DiRT, Middle-earth, Don’t Starve, F1 and Batman.
The reasons why the creators decided to take such a step have not been made public. Most likely, they left because of the end of the free period, as other companies have done before. Nvidia GeForce Now believes the situation can be rectified. The company also said that new games will appear alongside the deleted ones.
For the reason that the company is getting ready to work with game creators on a paid basis, projects are being removed and added. Nvidia GeForce Now is working with different creators, who will further mark that their projects are available for submission to GeForce Now at the time they are posted. This will allow games to be added at short notice.
The company also notes that the cloud server will support 30 of the top 40 titles on Steam.Creators Ubisoft, Bandai Namco, Bungie and Epic Games continue to work with Nvidia GeForce Now. Ubisoft has uploaded the Far Cry and Assassin’s Creed series to the server.
Ubisoft supports games hosted on the platform. It believes that server translation, which gives players a good experience and enjoyment of the games, is already an advancement in virtual reality.
And the Nvidia GeForce Now cloud-based server makes it possible to use state-of-the-art applications regardless of computer performance levels and on Android gadgets. The service will soon be available on the Chromebook platform. In addition GFN gives the possibility to activate ray tracing, which can be played by special NVIDIA cards.
The company previously reported that more than 1 million gamers have started using the GeForce Now trial, all in less than 3 weeks. The most popular games among users are League of Legends, Fortnite, World of Tanks and Warframe.
Earlier, the company promised that one of the most popular games of 2020, Cyberpunk 2077 (CD Projekt) will be available in the cloud service with ray tracing support. Further down the line, users will be able to see around 1,500 apps in the library.
