Samsung Galaxy S21 review

A review of Samsung's relatively small smartphone

Samsung has a new version of its smartphone out. The Galaxy S20 is a good compromise between features and size. The phone is comfortable to use.

Updated design

On the side there is a nice aluminium stripe that goes to the camera area. The Galaxy S21 can’t be mistaken for another gadget. The combination of the two colours adds to the handset’s attractiveness.

The design of the camcorder models is practical. It protects them from bumps and scratches if you don’t use a case.

The build is excellent, but the case is made of high-quality polycarbonate, which is more scratch-resistant than the plain material and 50% lighter than glass.

Format

It’s practical. The smartphone can’t be described as big or small, which appeals to many consumers who prefer usability.

The screen

A 6.2-inch screen with no “waterfall” on the side. It’s comfortable and practical, but it doesn’t look as spectacular. Dynamic Amoled 2x display with FHD+ with 120 Hz screen refresh rate. Several operating modes: ‘normal’ and ‘adaptive’. To reduce battery consumption, you can switch to 60 Hz.

There’s a lot to do in the settings: the screen can be made brighter, style and font size can be adjusted. There is a light or dark design. To avoid using the menus, you can switch to the Edge bar. It is on the side and you can add your apps there. Night mode is better to use with a timer.
